Curvd Aire returns to Westminster Presbyterian Church for its free Music at Noon concert series.

This year, we feature percussionist Jim Nakayama in a concert of music for brass and percussion, including serious and modern music along with music in the jazz vein.

Music by Didkowsky, Gillespie, Brubeck, Cobham and others will be featured in this concert of "something completely different".

at the Old Sugarmill

Members of Curvd Aire perform music in a lighter vein, as part of a wine-tasting and auction at the Old Sugarmill. Guest musicians include trumpeter Victor Pietrzak.

There will also be a performance by the Camellia Symphony and other chamber music groups.

American Heroes and Superheroes


The Camellia Symphony joins forces with Rosemont High School to present a stirring collection of music about America, Americans, Heroes and Superheroes. Experience the sound of a 100+ member orchestra!

Proceeds from this concert will go to the Rosemont High School Music Boosters and the Camellia Symphony to pay for rehearsal space. The program will include:
Olympic Fanfare and Theme, by John Williams
Overture to The Cowboys, by John Williams
Finale from the New World Symphony, by Antonin Dvorak
A Field in Pennsylvania, by Nancy Bloomer Deussen (remembering Flight 93)

Music from Apollo 13, Children of Sanchez, The Terminator, and Spider Man

 
Lifting the Veil

"Lifting the Veil" is an annual concert of music by women, presented by Curvd Aire in partnership with California State University and many area musicians.

November 5, 2005 - Camellia Symphony: Galleria!
The Camellia Symphony begins its 43rd season with selections relating to the vital and vibrant arts scene in Sacramento. Local galleries will display their works at the concert, as part of the "Second Saturday" events. Selections included: Pictures at an Exhibition, by Modest Mussorgsky, The Hebrides (Fingal's Cave), by Felix Mendelssohn, Trittico Boticelliano, by Ottorino Respighi,and Concerto for Flute and Orchestra, by Jacques Ibert, featuring flutist Alice Lenaghan, with a prestigious artist drawing his impressions of the piece.

September 30 and October 2 - "Strike Up the Band", with the Capitol Chamber Players
