Curvd Aire returns to Westminster Presbyterian Church for its free Music at Noon concert series. This year, we feature percussionist Jim Nakayama in a concert of music for brass and percussion, including serious and modern music along with music in the jazz vein. Music by Didkowsky, Gillespie, Brubeck, Cobham and others will be featured in this concert of "something completely different". |

The Camellia Symphony begins its 43rd season with selections relating to the vital and vibrant arts scene in Sacramento. Local galleries will display their works at the concert, as part of the "Second Saturday" events. Selections included: Pictures at an Exhibition, by Modest Mussorgsky, The Hebrides (Fingal's Cave), by Felix Mendelssohn, Trittico Boticelliano, by Ottorino Respighi,and Concerto for Flute and Orchestra, by Jacques Ibert, featuring flutist Alice Lenaghan, with a prestigious artist drawing his impressions of the piece.
